		<description>The news article mentions that Dr. Palmer gave a talk at the BCAPT meeting about &quot;the physics behind the Real-D technology used in Avatar&quot; before the award was announced.  That topic strikes me as one that many motivate many students to learn about physics because most are familiar with films but at the same time likely unaware of the scientific principles behind the technologies of movie-making. Can you think of other examples of how exemplary teachings make the familiar seem strange or the strange seem familiar?</description>
