People have asked me what it’s like for me to run from SFU to home on the trails, so, here you go. This is a fairly typical run for me. A couple of slip-n-near falls, but a nice slow run none the less. This video is shot about a quarter of the way down the trail from where Mel’s Trail and Gear Jammer trail meet.
Some run details:
Trail – Gear Jammer
Duration – 15:19 (15 minutes 19 seconds)
Altitude – ~250 meters down to 70 meters
Avg Pace – 6:49/km ( 6 minutes 49 secs per km)
Avg Speed – 8.8KM/h
Max Speed – 18.4 km/h
Well it’s that time again. Baseball season has started and Chasey’s ready! Gonna make for a really busy week for dear ol’ dad! Basically a week full of sports! In between my health kick, Morgan’s soccer, Chasey’s Baseball and our hikes on the weekend it’s a week of full activity and health! Chasey’s ready to kick some butt, forget about the names! Whew, I think they’re trying to kill me!.

At last Sunday’s game I was a really proud dad. For the first time ever Morgan received the role of team captain for our soccer team! The coach said that she was receiving captain for her excellent work in goal (she’s a goal minder) despite playing a Select A soccer team. She really kept it from being a total blow out. Great job Morgan!
