Breaking news! An exciting HSU event! On the afternoon of October 11th (exact time TBA), Dr. Paul Sedra and Mr. Joel Roberts will be speaking about the “Egyptian Revolution”. Dr. Sedra is a well-known expert on all things Egyptian and a professor in SFU’s History department, and Mr. Roberts has just returned from a year in Egypt! Stay alert for further information!

Welcome back to a new semester! We love autumn, what with the gorgeous changing leaves on Burnaby Mountain, the crisp weather, and who can forget the increased cortisol levels associated with getting back into the swing of things?

We are very excited to announce that the HSU will be participating in SASS’s Bicker and Banter series again on October 11th – stay tuned to hear about which of your profs will dazzle you with their wit and elocution.

Also, and very importantly, the HSU will be hosting elections on October 11th, 2012 in AQ6027 (exact time TBD). Please e-mail us at histu@sfu.ca to let us know if you will be running, and for which position you will be posing your candidacy!

February Pub Trivia Night

The HSU’s next Pub Trivia Night will be held on Friday, February 24th in the SFSS Highland Pub. This event starts at 8 pm!

Entry is free, and all students and faculty and welcome to attend! Come out for another opportunity to dust off your History trivia skills, and perhaps make all other competitors green with envy when your team wins first place!
