Library priveleges

Q: I am a graduate student going on medical leave this Fall term. How do I retain library privileges so I can still borrow books from the library?

A: If you are registered as a grad student and your department is granting you a deferral due to a medical condition then you can maintain your privileges by showing departmental proof of the deferral at the circulation counter.

If you are just taking a semester off you can purchase borrowing privileges by paying a $20 fee (this grants you all privileges except use of Interlibrary Loan).

You can pay the $20 fee and have your card updated at the circulation counter of the library at any one of our three campuses. More information on this service and deferrals can be found at the URL below – scroll down to the heading Deferrals and Semester off
