eBook in use

Q. hi,

I was reading an e-book on EBSCOhost, title: Triumph over shyness: conquering shyness and social anxiety. 40 something pages in, I cannot longer read it because the msg says, “Sorry this eBook is in use.”
What does this mean?

A. Hello,

“Triumph over shyness” is an e-book with a limit of only one simultaneous user.

Your browser may have timed out of the session. Therefore, when you tried to go to the next page, either another patron accessed the e-book when you timed out, or if your browser session was reset, EBSCO thought you were a second user. In this case, I would suggest closing your browser completely, delete any browser cookies, clear your cache and try again.

Let me know if you continue to run into problems accessing this e-book.

Thanks.
Sandra Wong
