Contest for International Students in BC and Past Alumni

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

myBC Video Contest

The BC Council for International Education (BCCIE) is launching two exciting contests for international students and alumni who are studying or who have studied in BC. The ‘myBC’ photo and ‘myBC’ video contests are open to all public and recognized private K-12 institutions or school districts, and EQA-designated post-secondary institutions and language schools in British Columbia.

Students and alumni are asked to submit their photos in three categories – The BC Experience, Study in BC, and My Life in BC – or to create a two minute video talking about their time spent studying in British Columbia. Winning entries will be eligible for a number of prizes and will be featured on the Study in BC website and in future BCCIE print and online materials.

To learn more about these contests, visit the ‘myBC’ microsite at: www.bccie.bc.ca/mybc.

Contest Deadlines
April 15, 2011 (11:59 pm – PST) – Deadline for Submissions
May 1, 2011 – Winners Announced

Contest Prizes

Video Contest – iPad or $250 cash

Random Weekly Draws for Future Shop gift certificates

As part of this initiative, BCCIE is also searching out potential international student ambassadors who would be willing to share their experiences in British Columbia with other students around the world. Their stories would be told through personal content on the Study in BC website.
