The Off-campus work permit program allows international students the opportunity to work part-time at any off-campus job, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.

To be eligible, you must meet all of the following conditions:

  • • Have a valid study permit
  • • Be currently enrolled full-time in a degree, diploma or certificate program at SFU at the time of application
  • • Have been enrolled full-time for 6 out of the last 12 months, at participating institution
  • • Have maintained satisfactory academic standing in your program of study (cGPA of 2.00 or higher)

Job Posting: SFU Student Callers (Alumni Annual Appeal Student Fundraiser)

SFU Student Advancement is recruiting student callers for the Spring 2013 Calling Campaign.

SFU students are hired and trained to make telephone calls to more than 60,000 SFU graduates.  These calls help to build positive relationships with our alumni, and raise funds for students and programs, like scholarships, bursaries, the library and more.

It’s a part-time position, paying $10.25 per hour, plus cash bonuses and prizes. Length of postion is January 28, 2013 to April 4, 2013.

Full-time international students are eligible as this is an on-campus job.

REVS Bowling Night – Welcome Event for New Students

This welcome event is open to all new international, exchange and study abroad students. A 10$ ticket includes 2 hours of Cosmic Bowling, shoe rental, and REVS mega feast.

When: January 11th, 6PM – 8PM

Where: REVS Bowling, located at Holdom Skytrain Station (Burnaby)

Tickets will be sold at the SFU ISS office (MBC 1200) until Tuesday January 8th, during office hours. Tickets for this event are limited and sales will end once all tickets are gone. Please bring exactly $10 cash and student ID to purchase a ticket.
