Grad students in the news
SFU political science PhD student Julie MacArthur had an opinion piece published by The Vancouver Sun about the Irish financial crisis. “In the high-stakes game of musical chairs that is global financial speculation, the average Irish person is caught chair-less and, increasingly, homeless,” MacArthur wrote. “They did not cause this crisis, but they are certainly paying for it.”
Adam King, a master’s student in the School of Resource and Environmental Management, made the Okanagan newspaper last week with his 2010 Okanagan Angler Survey. His study, co-sponsored by the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC, and the BC Ministry of Environment, hopes to increase angler satisfaction in the Okanagan.
